We are thrilled to announce our pre-seed investment in Everlab, a HealthTech startup building the operating system for personalized health and longevity. We led the round - one of the largest ever pre-seed rounds in Australia totalling 3 million Australian dollars - and are very grateful for the participation from leading Australian investors Ten13, AfterWork, Flying Fox and leading founders from tech companies, including Go1, Aconex, Foodspring and Temedica.

"Premium, personalized health care has been reserved for the ultra-wealthy until now," said Marc Hermann, CEO and co-founder of Everlab. "We are leveraging the latest technology in diagnostics, AI and behavioral science to radically reduce prices and make it accessible for millions of people, in particular those at risk of, or suffering from chronic diseases.”

The funding will be used to advance the company’s proprietary medical operating system that helps detect diseases early, enhances quality of life and delivers personalized care with data-driven insights. The service is powered by advanced diagnostics, continuous monitoring, medical data and behavioral insights that are used to help its members actively work on optimizing their performance, wellbeing and longevity.

Making Preventative Care Accessible to Everyone

Prevention has long been considered the holy grail of medicine. Yet despite the incredible potential benefits for the healthcare system, progress on preventative health breakthroughs has been limited. The challenge stems from the lack of continuous health data availability and the service-heavy nature of personalized care navigation. Everlab’s clinician-led service designed by co-founder Dr. Steven Lu uses proprietary AI to turn clinical expertise and the latest medical research into more efficient and radically cheaper diagnostic tools and data-driven care plans to promote behavior change.

The Everlab protocolTM - personalized, data-driven, 360 degree care

Everlab supports its members on their preventative health journey enabling them to understand their own health data through the creation of a groundbreaking digital health avatar. This avatar consolidates, analyses and tracks all medical, lifestyle and family history data from its users over a single platform. This information is used to design a continuous, personalized health protocol that includes a suite of diagnostic tests to regularly track 100+ biomarkers - ranging from blood tests and microbiome samples to genetics and functional performance. With this in-depth picture of health, Everlab actively suggests a series of intervention and treatment strategies to optimize well-being and mitigate long-term risk of chronic disease.

We are particularly gratified to be supporting Marc again with his new venture, having previously backed his company Foodspring, which was acquired by Mars in 2019.

“The team’s approach matches our hypotheses on what it takes to build the future operating system for personalized health that can work at scale. By integrating both physical care and digital therapy, Everlab is well-positioned to pioneer a transformative healthcare experience,” says b2venture Partner Jan-Hendrik Bürk.
