Predium Raises €4.5 million seed round to expand ESG management solution for the decarbonization of real estate
Buildings are massive drivers of CO2 emissions, that’s why the European Union is now requiring real estate owners to think hard about how they can make their real estate holdings future proof and identify risks and prioritize renovation measures, otherwise risking being penalized with a reduction in value of their properties. ESG has thus become a central pillar for anyone wanting to manage their real estate holdings to make them sustainable, compliant, and a future driver of economic value.
Our portfolio company Predium, which develops solutions for ESG management in the real estate and finance industries, has successfully closed its €4.5 million seed round.
The round was led by our friends at UVC Partners with our continued participation as well. Other investors include Mutschler Ventures and well-known business angels such as b2venture angel investor Joachim Drees (Drees & Sommer, MAN), Alexander Schwörer (PERI), Heike Gündling (Bilfinger, 21st Real Estate) and Maximilian Viessmann. The fresh financing will be used to further develop Predium into the leading European ESG management platform for decarbonizing real estate.
The company was founded in 2021 by Jens Thumm, Mohamed Ali Razouane and Maximilian Körner. Predium's platform enables the easy determination of ESG balances of buildings as well as the creation of renovation roadmaps to reduce CO2 emissions, including investment calculations and automated reporting. Just two years after its founding, Predium has managed to establish its product in the market. Companies such as Deutsche Investment Gruppe, B&L Gruppe, Tattersall Lorenz, Valon and Pamera Real Estate Partners are part of its customer portfolio.
