We are very happy to announce our portfolio company Edurino has raised €10.5 million in Series A funding as it plans for international expansion.

Irene Klemm & Franziska Meyer, Founders of Edurino

We are participating again alongside Jens Begemann and Emerge Education, and welcome new investors DN Capital, Tengelmann Ventures and FJ Labs.

Edurino is on a mission to provide children with a safe introduction to digital learning through the magic of games. Parents and educators can be confident they own effective and engaging tools to guide children during the formative years of their physical and digital development.

More than 100,000 Edurino products have been sold after only one year on the market, and the hybrid learning concept for digital preschool lessons is now being used in over 160 educational institutions.

"In 10 years time our children will be working in jobs that do not exist in this form today. To meet this skills gap, we have opened a new chapter of digital education with Edurino. Through the magic of games, we want to equip children with the skills and experience to understand and harness the positive power of digitalization. The strong feedback from thousands of families and the collaboration with our partner kindergartens is driving us to expand Edurino globally." - Irene Klemm & Franziska Meyer, Founders of Edurino

New product category on the rise: "Fun Digital Learning"

Last year, Edurino signed with over 10 major retail partners and online stores in the DACH region. These include well-known book, electrical and toy retailers, such as Media Markt, Saturn, Müller, Thalia and My Toys. The additional capital will be used to further expand the sales channels in the DACH region. Sales to date have reflected customers' understanding of the quality of Edurino’s product. This has also been recognised through a variety of prestigious industry awards, including but not limited to the 2022 TOMMI German Kindergarten & Preschool Software Award and the 2022 German Excellence Award in the Startup category. According to GlassDollar's latest assessment, Edurino is one of the fastest-growing startups in Germany in 2022.
