Selina supports the Direct Investments team as an Associate from our Munich office. She comes to b2venture from better ventures where she was the second employee on the investment team and helped scale the organization's business angel network.

The eldest of three siblings, Selina grew up close to Düsseldorf and considers herself a Rhinelander at heart, full of cheer and optimism. While she inherited her business acumen from her father, her mother instilled in her an appreciation for the little things in life.

“When I was younger, my father was diagnosed with cancer. It made me realize early on that there was much more to life than money. Yet I also came to believe that making a difference in the world meant operating at scale where I saw financial capital as a means to an end, and so I gravitated toward business with an emphasis on impact.”

Guided by this belief, Selina studied International Business Administration at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management where she co-organized SensAbility, a summit centered around impact entrepreneurship.

She further deepened her interest in the intersection of business and sustainability by completing a Master's in Management at the University of Mannheim. Apart from work stations in transaction advisory, consulting, strategy, and at the startup Flaconi, she was actively involved in the impact entrepreneurship initiative INFINITY and focused her thesis on sustainable finance.

This ultimately propelled her into joining the impact venture capital firm better ventures as an Investment Analyst. There she worked with angels and founders, primarily focusing on the fields of ClimateTech, HealthTech, and EdTech. 

Selina has an eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture and melds a strong analytical mind with the ability to engage with people from all walks of life.

In her free time, Selina is passionate about football, enjoys playing tennis and riding her road bike. Also, as an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors she can be found scaling the Bavarian Alps by sunshine or snow.
